π€ THE REAL DEALS WE DON’T WANT — BUT DESPERATELY NEED π€
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience…”
— James 1:2–4
It’s Black Friday — the day people push through crowds, refresh online carts, and chase after deals that promise comfort and happiness.
But Scripture invites us into a different kind of “Black Friday”:
Not about saving money… but shaping character.
Not about getting more… but becoming more.
✨ Trials: God’s Unexpected Specials
Trials aren’t accidents. They’re God-permitted tools to refine us so that we become “perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
Imagine if God used only happy times to grow us. Would it work?
π When Life Feels Like a Sale on Happiness
Happy times feel good — like finding the perfect Black Friday deal.
But they can also make us spiritually complacent.
They make us comfortable here on earth instead of longing for heaven.
And the Bible warns us:
We have an enemy… a roaring lion seeking to steal and destroy our joy.
So while Jesus offers abundant life, that life is lived in a world of spiritual warfare.
πΏ Real Joy Starts Now
Eternal joy is guaranteed in heaven — yes.
But Jesus said we can experience that joy starting on earth:
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You…” — John 17:3
Knowing God doesn’t remove trials…
It reframes them.
ππ¨ Seeing the Invisible Armies
Just like Elisha’s servant, God opens our eyes to the heavenly host beside us — even in temptation, pain, heartbreak, persecution, or sacrifice.
Black Friday gives temporary wins.
God gives eternal victories.
π Today… Celebrate the Real Joy
As you scroll through deals or walk through crowded aisles, remember:
The greatest growth in your life doesn’t come from “happy times”…
but from the trials God uses for your good.
Trials are NOT curses.
They’re not setbacks.
They’re not unfair moments.
They are God’s best offers — refining us into people who are:
✔ stronger
✔ wiser
✔ patient
✔ faithful
✔ complete
✔ lacking nothing
π We praise the LORD! π€
